Chao Phraya Skypark

The Chao Phraya Skypark in Bangkok is a unique elevated park that spans the Chao Phraya River, connecting the areas of Thonburi and Phra Nakhon. It’s an adaptive reuse project that transformed an old, abandoned bridge into a vibrant public space, creating one of the first elevated parks over a river in the world. The skypark features lush greenery, walkways, benches, and designated viewing areas offering panoramic views of the river and Bangkok’s skyline.

Originally a planned rail line, the structure was left unfinished for decades before it was reimagined as a public park. It’s an impressive example of urban renewal, blending modern green space into a historical area, making it a great spot for photography, relaxation, and even a little art inspiration with the scenic views and local buzz.
